Market Garden Internship at Moonstone Farm

20 hours per/week / Seasonal

(26 weeks, April 15 - October 9, 2019)

$15 per/hour + 1 week paid vacation

Weekly Hours:

Monday:         8-10:30am

Tuesday:         8-10:30am

Wednesday:     8am-6pm

Thursday:         8-10:30am

Friday:             8-10:30am

Job Responsiblities/Qualifications:

The market garden intern reports to the Farm Manager and supports the production, maintenance, harvest, and distribution of Moonstone Farm’s market garden products.  The ideal candidate is a team player, willing to take direction and work independently, and has strong communication skills and work ethic. 

In addition:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old

  • Must have own transportation and housing

  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and have the physical strength/stamina to work outdoors.

  • Some experience in organic gardening/farming and/or landscape design.

  • High preference for graduates from CSU’s Colorado Building Farmers program, participants in Guidestone Colorado’s Vision Course or Land Link Program, or other beginning farmer programs.

  • Strong customer service and public relations skills

  • Commitment to drug/alcohol free environment
