We Can't Force Productivity
One of the gifts of having a farm venture is the applicable lessons it provides on a constant basis that transfer to other aspects of our life and business.
This week's lesson is that we can't force productivity- taught by master certified instructors- the ladies of the coop.
These hens are reliable producers when they are properly nourished, hydrated, rested, they have adequate shelter, and enough sunlight (energy) to create. When all of these factors are present, it is not hard for them to produce- it comes naturally. No one is forcing them.
Need I say more?
We, as humans also have natural cycles and have requirements for our natural productivity that cannot be forced.
Remembering to nourish, hydrate, rest, or move towards activities that bring energy or help relax and rest our minds, bodies and spirits is the key to supporting our productivity in a sustainable manner.
Examining our "to do" lists to see if they are a "should do list" or an "I want to do" list. Sometimes reminding ourselves we have a choice is just what we need to feel more productive- especially if there is some stuff on there that is not really necessary anyway :)
"The choice that frees or imprisons us, is the choice of love or fear. Love liberates, fear imprisons." - Gary Zukav
